why don't you list exactly the features you're interested in (like, instead of saying "I want a home theater app" say "I want an app that will play my movies on a TV screen and keep an internal database of every media file on my drive"). Because as you can see I'm probably misunderstanding the purpose of such an app. If someone were to take on this project for you, the first step would be conceptual, defining the exact functions it would perform, and you can get the ball rolling yourself by doing that. And even if no one wants to code it for you, chances are you can do most of it already with existing apps and maybe someone will point you to something you didn't know about. Either way, saying what you've tried and what it did or didn't accomplish for you is infinitely more meaningful than saying you've tried "everything" and it didn't satisfy (without revealing what "everything" is or in what ways it didn't satisfy your particular needs).
