I finally got a good design for my website and learnt some CSS, this resulted in my new design which uses HTML 4.0 Transitional and CSS. I would like some feedback on the new design, it looked a lot uglier and was harder to edit before..

Much better improvement! However, I've taken a quick glance at it and saw that the border underneath 'Links' was still dashed and since its the last item, it should be solid to flow with the rest of the navigation bar. Other than that looks good!

Experience:
Below is a short list of computer software i've used:

• Adobe Photoshop , Illustrator, InDesign and GoLive.
• Macromedia Flash, Freehand, Dreamweaver and FireWorks.
• Microsoft Office 2001, v.x for the Mac.
• REALBasic 1.0, 3.2, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5
• Apple iLife, SoundTrack, GarageBand, Quicktime, XTools
• MetroWerks CodeWarrior Lite, BBEdit, Apple ResEdit
• MetaTools Bryce 2 and 4.
• Many other high-end programs and also small utilities.
How the heck do you have access to these programs if youre only 13 years old?

three possibilities:
1. rich, loving parents
2. well equipped school
3. abundant bandwidth and pirate behavior

I can rule out a few of those:

1. If he had rich and loving parents, he (1) wouldnt have to buy his own Newton, (2) wouldnt have just the 12" PB and the outdated iMac, and (3) wouldnt have had to buy the iMac secondhand/
2. He probably isnt going to a well-equipped school because (1) he's 13 (I wouldnt spend much on a school for kids that young) and (2) he 'learnt' CSS.

That leaves option 3. You dont necessarily need a lot of bandwidth, just a lot of time (which as a kid I would assume he has). If only it were as easy for the rest of us...

Software is bloody expensive, but it certainly isn't unreasonable. One client can pay for all the web software you need, and a nice setup, and because internet standards are finally becoming standards and subject to little change, any software purchased today should be fine for several years. Therefore, pirating shouldn't even be a possibility for any established businesses. However, for those just beginning, I see nothing wrong with piracy. If they ever move beyond simple freelance projects for friends, they will likely purchase the software. In this case, piracy is actually beneficial for companies like Adobe. And as for students, I say pirate away. If you are only thirteen, you will surely provide Adobe and Macromedia years of your money later on.
