Hi all,

Have a look at http://www.b3design.ch/cafebale/
The ë ä ö é á and so on dont show up... I set the encoding to UTF-8 which seems to work on my machine but not on others... Any ideas how I could fix that?

Also, there is a image in the 'banners' section on the right which is missing, the link is to /images/banner/banner-klein.jpg. When going to http://www.b3design.ch/cafebale/imag...nner-klein.jpg the banner is clearly there so why does'nt it show up?

Thanks

Not sure about the encoding problem, but try taking the leading forward slash off the path to the image for your second problem. i.e. just use images/banner/banner-klein.jpg.
Just who are Britain? What do they? Who is them? And why?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Turns out the image was corrupt, re-saved the .psd as a .gif and it works now. Now just the bloody encoding...

Thanks again

How do I check that? The only way I know is to check the code... "<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">"

I take it you abandoned trying to get this into UTF and have just gone with character-equivelnts. I would guess that your file was not actually in UTF, and that is why you were having problems. I am not sure how to do a proper UTF file in DreamWeaver (*ugh*.. I hate that rollover code), as I always do it in text editors.

Yea, I'm using Western(Latin1) which seems to work... I just used the 'page properties' encoding pane and changed there... I hate it when DW doesn't do something properly... or was it me that was doing something wrong?

Anyway, does it work for you guys now?
