InterfaceLIFT has launched a new section of its web site devoted to developers. The new stock icons collection makes it easier for programmers to find high-quality, royalty-free interface icons that are designed specifically for use in software and web site projects. For the first time there is a single place where developers can go to browse and compare the quality, price, licensing terms, sizes, formats, and quantity of icons availble for purchase from leading designers. Licensing a stock icon collection is far cheaper than hiring out custom design work and the level of polish and professionalism that these icons can bring to a project should not be overlooked.

And why would I pay US$99 for an icon set that is a complete rip-off from Panther? I would much rather support some original, ethical thinking.

well to be fair you do want your apps to have an aqua feel and look to them or they will feel out of place on a mac. as far as web goes well yeah it's not very original.

I personally think they all of them, the aqua and xp packs, look like mac os x and xp had a child it would have those icons.

good idea though of having all the icons in one place though.
