What kind of hosting it is necessary to host and run a PHP site, made on a Mac? It is necesary that the server is a Mac server? Can I do it with no matter what hosting service (Linux servers, for exemple)?

Thank you, I'm an absolute newbie, but I got to develop some projects in PHP this semester, so I got to ensure myself.

Unless you are doing things with very specialized PHP extensions, or are using absolute paths, then things should be completely portable... linux, MacOS X, Windows, Solaris... Apache, IIS, etc... Just move the files and it should function.

Make sure your hosting includes MySql, I'd personally go for a Linux server as it will be running Apache, which is what Mac OSX has pre-installed, familiarity and all that. Although if you're developing on your own local server, try and make sure that you're running the same verion of php as the remote server. (remembers the first time using a server with php 4.3 and taking an hour or two of debugging before learning what "Local Variables = off" meant)

If it's for development purposes only, I'd try and find a server that is game enough to run php5, which will would be one with an open mind as opposed to the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" catagory.
