Back in os9 there was a dock program that gave you a windows-like dock... action gomac i believe was the name. it was great!
don't stop reading, i'm not suggesting a dock program. the thing that made this program great was that it made other apps unable to expand over the docking area (similar to how the osx dock keeps apps from expanding over it).
i want to make a program that always floats on top (but also keeps other apps from being dragged over it). for those w/ a wide screen, think how nice it would be if ichat could be locked on one side of your screen and other apps wouldn't overlap it. you could always see your buddies.
anyway, i want to make a floating app that stays on top. my question is, is there a way to tell the os now to allow other apps to drag over it like the dock does?
