I am new to using dreamweaver so templates are quite foreigh to me. I put tabs (code i found and copied) in the repeating region on the top. The tabs themselves have a maroon background and grey on rollover. The problem is that links in the editable region are also maroon and grey on rollover. How can i code it so that the colors for links are different between the reapeting region and editable region? I just want the links in the editable region to be normal blue underlined links instead of looking like the tabs. If it helps, the code i got for the tabs can be found here , on the example page. Thanks.

Um, I don't think this can be done. As far as I know, the link colors (via external or local stylesheet or whatever) apply to the entire page. I've had this problem where I want images with borders that link, but don't want the border colors for the images to be the same as my link color for text. If anyone knows a way to do two different link colors, I'd be interested in learning as well.
EDIT: wait, am I really begin dumb? I never thought of this, but if you specify a font color (via the css, or via FONT tags, does that color override the link color (until HOVER or another state is activated) ? Now that I think about it, I seem to remember working in Claris homepage and having the font color override the link color. But maybe I'm wrong.

Just a guess, but you could define CSS styles for the two sets of links, and then you need to assign a style to each link in each section. It wouldn't work in the old-old-old browsers, but most web users would be able to see the colors that you choose. Keep in mind that a user's personal CSS could overide your colors and thus affect the appearance.
Just a thought.

i did try specifying the link color and font and everything and it did not over ride the css specified colors. as for creating a new style, that's a pretty good idea. i know absolutley nothing about css to try that but i will try to play around with what i can, see if i can figure that out. thanks again.
