Hey folks.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm just wondering what kind of hardware discounts one gets when you sign up to one of Apple's dev programs? Let's say I was to get the select dev program, then buy an iMac. Are the discounts pretty decent?
Cheers.

I checked Apple's dev site, but info is scant, and only get any prices after you order.
As to search, nah.
cheers.

Generally the developer account will nearly pay for itself if you buy one of Apple's top-line PowerMacs and a monitor. Or when you get a PowerBook and a desktop (iMac level). But the discount is not constant.. it varies depending on how much Apple wants to get rid of the computers... so at the end of a cycle when new ones are on the way, the developer discount tends to go up as a way of clearing out the last of the channel inventory. The numbers are never out there because they change, and Apple does not want them out there.

i don't know if the prices are a good comparison, but you could probably check the US version of the site where you can see the difference in prices before ordering. . . .
