I have used Office 2004 to export some Powerpoint and MS Word files to the web. Some of the text characters have come out looking strange (for example the apostrophes) on internet explorer for Windows and even with Safari to a certain extent.

There are options that allow you to control what type of text encoding to use.

Does anyone have experience with this? What type of endcoding give the most predictable results? I have used UTF-8, I think?

Thanks.
