I have to start using Ecclipse for work and I am not looking forward to it.

You can't, to my knowledge. I think you'll have to import the source files and set the build options yourself.

I did exactly that - but I got an error saying that the Eclipse cant connect to the VM. I looked at the JRE and it was set correctly.

This is very strange.

I have been using xCode for the last 2 years and IntelliJ before that.
