I was chided on the software forum, so I thought I'd try this here.

One of my web-hosts is out of business, but my server space is still active. Strange but true. So I thought I'd still hang on as long as it's active.

I want to back up several hard-drive settings and preferences, and I need to know where the passwords are kept for GoLive's FTP window.
You know, where it says Username and Password. I had it so long, I can't even remember what it is. Is it the GoLive Pref's?
All I have to go by are the little bullets.

Can I drop that pref in place if I upgrade to Tiger and clean my HD?
Or get a new G5, etc? Upgrade my GoLive? Will that pref work, and does it have the passwords and settings already built in.
That's my question!

Thanks,
-matt

I have never used Golive's FTP, so I would not know about where it stores it. It may be stored in your site management file - that would make sense. If worse comes to worse, FTP sends passwords in the clear so you could always sniff your LAN while connecting.
