I must say that the 10.3.9 update so far, is, simply put, horrible.

I've never seen an update break so many things in just one component (talking Webkit here).

When things are so bad that Mike Solomon (author of PithHelmet, whom I would consider a pretty good webkit guru) is depressed, then God help us!

I've been totally discouraged that I've had to revert back to 10.3.8 to be able to get any work done on my webkit-based app.

Is there any light at the end of this tunnel?

The fact that 10.3.9 breaks an unsupported hack makes it horrible?

And if you think 10.3.9 is horrible, you're really going to hate Tiger, since Dave Hyatt has said that WebKit is almost identical between the two.

It's amusing that on the same forum, an update can be called "best ever" and "horrible, horrible"

Those of us who have been around to discuss all of OS X's updates, both major and minor, can attest to the fact that 10.3.9 is the most significant and least problematic point upgrade ever.

I don't know about you, but when I read that it sounds like it's PithHelmet that's broken, not WebKit.

I see none of you have been reading the Webkit dev mailing list

Boy is that an ambiguous post.

I read webkitsdk-dev (assuming that's the one you are talking about) and I don't see what the issue is.

Is there a particular thread on webkitsdk-dev that I should look at to see what the complaining is about?

webkitsdk-dev has several posts complaining about 10.3.9 (including one by Sebastien), but none actually seem to have isolated any specific bugs, so I'm having trouble figuring out what's "broken."

Yeah, but it's just like anything else.
I remember javascript 1.1 -> 1.2 -> 1.3 all the posts on the web about how some stupid browser update broke their code, blah blah blah.
