ADMIN: Please delete the other, similarly titled but totally empty thread I somehow started!

My question: Does anybody know the status of Image Events under Tiger? I know there's an AppleScript dictionary entry for it, so it still exists. The trouble is, my previously working AppleScript for processing images that was so great under Panther is now busted under Tiger. If anyone is interested, I can post the source code....

The trouble I'm having is converting to PICT. I have an AppleScript that goes into PDF Services, converting the PDF to PICT. But when this happens, I get a clear background, more noticable with text PDFs. The script eventually adds anything created in the PDF Print dialog as artwork to a selected iTunes track--the artwork always appears with a black background.

I fixed my initial problem, but now I get unwanted the black lines on the edges of some resized images but not others!

At least Image Events works for me now under Tiger. The problem turned out to be in my code. This one wasn't Steve's fault.

DougAdams: Why are you converting to PICT? Unless you're sharing images with OS 7 users, abandon this obsolete format.

Because they are easier to import as Artwork into iTunes via AppleScript. This pair of scripts when used a s a PDF Service works fine in Panther, does not in Tiger.

Don't mess with Doug. He's the AppleScripts for iTunes guy. He's knows his stuff, believe me!
So, has anybody tried batching scripting with Image Events and run into this problem of the 1-pixel black borders showing up? Sometimes it's on the right, sometimes on top.

Could it have something to do with the cropping tool (in Macromedia Fireworks MX, a program I really like as an alternative to Photoshop) and where I make my cuts?
