Hi,

Does anyone know of a cheap service that will ping a web site about once per day and send a status report? Maybe even a report that shows success/failure, and elapsed time for the web server to respond?

I'd like to find a web site company that I subscribe to, and they'll check my server's for me and notify me if they appear to be down.

Something this simple, you could set a cron job to do it for you and save yourself the cash.

I've had internetseer do this for me for a few years and they do a great job (although the payoff is a shedload of crappy newsletters sent daily/weekly).

Gives a week by week or month by month report with a total % downtime.
