Hi,

How many pixels could an html table be in width for good landscape printing? I've gotten a rough idea on my own printer, but I wonder if there's an agreed upon width that works across most printers out there.

If you use a separate style sheet for print, you can set the width in inches if you want. I think 10" would fit on a letter size page with margins and what not.

A4 = 842pt ( or 842px @ 72dpi )
US Letter = 792pt (or 792px @ 72dpi )

Given a generous margin of 20pt left and right, you'd have to say the following is a good rule 'o thumb:-

A4 page = table width of 800px;
US letter = table width of 750px;

Many an Epson inkjet has a .54" bottom margin + .12" top. if you're going the points route, I'd increase a little bit from 20pt per side.
