I'm going completely nuts here.

I am trying to design a page with a background image rather than a background colour (either way it doesn't make a difference as the same thing happens anyway). I have a 17" monitor connected to my PowerBook which I am trying to design on. When I choose 17" as the default size in Go Live the window opens to only half the width of my actual screen, so I hit the green button to maximise it to full screen mode.

Next I add a layout grid and resize it to the current (now maximised window) and choose an image from the folder in my site window to use as a background. However when I preview it (either using Go Live's preview or in Safari) the web page is not the full size of my 17" monitor at all. I have tried everything I know but it either becomes too big a page (requiring scrolling) or is a quarter of the page in size.

So I thought I'd test it out using one of the templates in Go Live. Same thing, the web page is only a quarter of the size of the browser window on my 17' monitor.

It's really ticking me off Anyone have any advice please?
PowerBook 12" Combo 1.5Ghz 1.25GB Ram 100GB HDD - Yep it's PPC! I'll wait for the 3rd generation MacTel when they're at their best :)

most likely the template and page you built are using the default browser size (800X600)

try to search your coding for 800 and it should come up in a table or something near the body tag.
