Ive had my mac for about 6 months now so im just about getting the hang of it, but ive recently started to use forums and cannot post images onto the txt area for a reply. i can leave a link, but even this does not work on all forum sites. if i drop an image file onto the page it just turns the whole page into my image with a url address (or i think thats what it is)!
any ideas

Forum sites don't generally host images, so you have to post them as a link to a place where you are hosting the image. This is not really a mac question, as it is the same regardless of platform or browser.

And if a site does not support linking in images, then they don't support it.

If you want to post an image to a forum message, that image already needs to be hosted on a web server somewhere.

There are free image hosting services you could use, including ImageShack (http://www.imageshack.us/) and Flickr (www.flickr.com).
