on my 12" powerbook, i'm always losing half of my menubar widgets and wotnots when using an app with a lot of menus which takes up most of the menubar for itself. it makes me wonder why apple didnae add an arrow to allow scrolling of the menubar or to bring up a popup containing the 'extra' menubar items [such as happens with the bookmarks bar in safari when it contains more items than will fit across the width of the browser window.

would this be something a third party utility could do, or is the drawing of the menubar too "wired in" to the system?

if it is doable, i reckon it'd be a pretty useful utility, if one of you brainy propellor-head types out there fancies taking on the job

-bump-

I have this same problem on my 12" iBook. I may be going insane, but I remember using an application that let you customize the menubar for itself. Anyone have an example of an app that does this? I just can't seem to find it.
