hi

certain pages of my site - such as

http://www.btinternet.com/~elena.ogo...rds/index.html

display perfectly in IE and safari on the mac - but when looking at with IE on windows XP the table has pertruded across the screen -not staying level with the top banner

does anybody know how I can fix this?

Explanation.

You only need 2 tables. Don't specify all widths and HEIGHTS of every cell. Your content should hold it together.

Also, just add a link to the image. You don't need to have all those hotspots.

Just make it W3C complaint ..

look at hte footer of my websites http://loanskey.com you will see the stam of W3C .

that makes it look cool in all browsers

It's not an OS question so much as a browser question. IE for Mac is substantially different from the Windows version, both in feature set and how it renders. (The Mac version of IE is much, much more standards-compliant than the Windows version.) So don't make the mistake of assuming that if it looks right on Mac IE, that it'll look right on Windows IE. If you tried Firefox, you'd find that it renders the same as Safari, regardless of what OS it's running on, be it Mac, Win or Linux.

The sad fact is, IE for Windows plain and simply f---s up all sorts of things, and does so in totally unique and unpredictable ways.
