I'm working for a client who has an existing site. He's had me design a very simple second site for his side business, and I would like to use his existing host for that site. How do I do this? My understanding is that I need to make some sort of redirection script, but I know no more than this.
Can anyone help?
Thank you!

if the site runs cpanel you can add a addon domain and point it to a directory on your site.

As jay3ld said, his host should provide at least one add-on domain with his account.

Aaah, how right you were. I put the DNS information into the appropriate place in the GoDaddy page, but now I'm not sure what to do. How do I specify which index goes for which site in the root folder?
Thanks for your help thus far.

i think on the addon domain were it askes you what folder. just putting a folder name will do it in your public html. thats how ares is done. but i think you could do /home/urcpanelusername/site2_public_html/ and have a folder under ur main web root that points to that.

That is not to be done manually. If the host has cpanel he has to go to the subdomains/add on domains category and go through the easy-to-use setup there for creating subdomains from prepurchased domain names and to create redirections.
