haven't done this before...

am trying to create a scrolling list in dreamweaver.
have a page with 16 subjects, so want a drop-down list, to select any of those 16 paragraphs, and jump to same.

created a list, tried to create named anchors for each subject; selected them in "value" window setting up the list (even tried the value as "#subject" but...nada.

how do i get the selected subject in that list to jump the user to that spot?

(i already have an anchor at the page top, to return to the top...)

thanks!

add your anchors for each of the 16 subjects.

Then highlight the text you want to make a link. click the link button (chain) and a window comes up and click the drop down for the second one I think which will give you your anchors to choose from and choose it.
You shouldn't make fun of nerds... you'll be working for one some day.

hmmm..not getting it.
i created a list.
if i, for example, create an anchor for each item...how do i link the text to the anchor?
what do i input in the "value" field in the list creation window??

(sorry, maybe i just need sleep..)

woohoo! figured it out...
i needed to make a jump menu, and link to my anchors as usual (ie #anchor1).

works!
