is it possible to build lets sayy my own menu in front row and control it via the controller. are there any projectgs going on that does this? thanks.

There is the program Center Stage, which is intended as a Front Row replacement. It allows plugins. Nobody has attempted to hack a new module into Front Row itself as far as I know.

I don't know if this is any good for what you are looking for, but it lets you control loads of stuff with the remote apart from front row:

Remote Buddy
