This may seem like a stupid question(probably is) but I was wondering what it is like coding on a Mac.

My coding experience is mostly web stuff such as HTML, CSS, PHP, and Ruby. I have experimented with some C++ though as well and was wondering what all goes into coding a program using 'XCode'. Could I use ruby or would i have to use C++ or something different? Sorry for all the questions but I have never used XCode before and am thinking of playing around with it.

thanks

You can start a C++ command line tool with the C++ template in Xcode. For Ruby, you'll probably want a different editor, since Xcode doesn't support it natively.

Xcode does support Ruby, albeit poorly (like most languages that aren't Objective-C or C++). It doesn't have any Ruby-specific project types, but it lets you use it just fine and does syntax coloring.
