I want to try and make a website for a company I'm making and I was wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere I could download some free software to make the page? I had a look at the yahoo one, but like most others it's only for Windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All Macs now come with iWeb, so that's your first stop, if you have the current version of iLife. If not... Nvu is a good , free, open-source choice, even for a novice.
I made mine with Google's Googlepages and it worked fine, but mine was very simple -- j ust a photo, some text, and a bunch of links.
You can download a free demo of RapidWeaver that allows you to make no more than 3 pages, IIRC.

Have your tried the demos of Dreamweaver or GoLive or the others? If its a one time shot to learn, could be useful. If you're going to be doing constant updates and it will become part of your routine, iWeb or a good quality application will make your life easier by establishing a set of standards (perhaps unofficially due to the way the program works) to make site changes easier to manage.
