my website has changed and developed over many years, and now, in light of the blogging scene i want to add a comments section to my site. i dont use any online tools, i hard code everything. i am just wondering how i would go about doing this. could i use a simple html form, or will i have to use javascript or php? im not looking for someone to do this for me, i want to do it on my own.

to be precise, this is exactly what i want to make:

to top it all off, displaying the date of when it was posted would be great too.

PHP and a SQL database, or directly modify the static HTML files.

Or, you could just get one of the many blogging packages out there and have it all done for you.
