Hi there. I'm Looking for some advice. Does anyone of you have tried using this hosting company as your host provider? I have seen a review from this site: http://www.hosting-buyers-guide.com/re/2005startlogic/ they got ranked no.2 on this review site. I want to know if they are one of the best hosting services in the web. Thanks.

I have a client that's hosting with Start Logic. They're okay. The only problem that I've run into is dealing with Permissions from a script-writing side, I've had to make a directory 777 so that my script could write to it. That was pretty lousy.

Other than that, they've been pretty good.

Web Hosting guides generally mean nothing. Often time, the results are influenced by some type of affiliate/marketing deal. The links to starlogic are all referral links, so everytime you read that review and get sent to starlogic, that website gets a cut. If I were you, I would look at webhostingtalk.com and do some searching for reviews.

Is there anything that particularly pulled you toward starlogic? I am guessing prices. 5 dollars a month for 15 gigs is shady.
