Hello,

I am lookng for a way to merge wordpress into a website. Take a look at this site:

http://www.johnmayer.com/

If you click blog, the blog is seamless inside the website.

Any ideas? I have many seperate blogs..and I have a website..but want to pull them all together.

Thanks!

Do you just want to make them all look the same, or what?

Wordpress has static page features that allow it to be used as a simple CMS, so you could do things that way if you wanted. However, it's been a while since I used Wordpress, and I'm not sure how the multi-blog support works.

1) Create each blog with a custom template based on the rest of your site

2) Use URL rewriting to clean up the URLs to be human readable and easy to remember for your site

Wordpress doesn't have a simple method for integration. I spent some time looking for this feature before I gave up on it. You could write your own function to extract the WP entries from the DB and write them out...

I just did this myself. Here's the temporary version. I had the rest of the site already made, and left it independent of WP. Then I installed WP and heavily modified the default template to use my existing page structure, stylesheets, and menu includes. The result is that the front page and all pages associated with blog entries (individual posts, monthly and category archives) are handled by WP while the rest is just static HTML sitting on the server.
