How to upload an alias file to webserver?

As topic name asks, how do I upload an alias file to my webserver? I have tried fetch and transmit but they give me an error saying I dont have permission. I have tried to google the answer cause I thought there must be more people with my problem but seems I was wrong.

Are you talking about a server alias or an OS X alias? I think server aliases are symlilnks, and you have to send server commands in order to create them.

Yeah, you can't upload an alias. you have to create it. The syntax is pretty easy:
ln -s source new
I think that's right. do a man ln in the terminal. It'll tell ya

I found several solutions yesterday, including writing a php script that would make a symlink, I appreciate the help of you guys
