Hi,

I was just wondering how some of you are dealing with IE6 when you do web development on your mac. Obviously IE sucks but you cannot neglect it. What methods do you use to verify that it looks good in IE6? VirualPC BootCamp, etc.

Develop to the standards, and tweak for IE as necessary. This usually involves far less work than the other way around, since you often only have to make exceptions for one browser rather than three or four.

As for testing, this is one of those times when an "interfaith" marriage comes in handy: I just use my wife's laptop when I need to check something in IE6.

Thanks! Currently I am using a lot of transparent png files which is causing a headache in IE6, but it is solvable.

It’s easily solvable: just install Dean Edwards’ ie7 package on your server, make sure you don’t use the transparent PNGs as background images, and Bob’s your uncle.
