is their any programe for mac that would basigly make your machien in to a server so basigly i can open php files from the mac and not havin to upload them to the internet before opening them with mysql? something like apache for windows but anything for mac?

Apache is built into OS X in System Preferences go into sharing and turn on Personal Web sharing...
As I recall, PHP is already installed, you can get a good configuration with the binaries from entropy.ch

www.mysql.net has an OS X installer as well.

You could try MAMP which includes PHP, MySQL and Apache into one nice installer and setup package.

SirCastor is correct. You have to turn on personal web sharing and install the php from entropy and the mysql from mysql.com. Then you can go to localhost and see your php enabled web files locally. its pretty darn straightforward compared to setting it up on win or linux - but you still have to jump through some hoops. familiarity with the command line, chown, chmod commands, and knowing where osx puts things is very useful! dang it someday I will write a tutorial - the mac is so powerful most people have no idea.
