I'm trying to find a web development tool for "non-programmers". I've been looking at Freeway, but, there must be more than one option out there. Can anyone suggest anything else - I also wish to publish to my own domain, NOT iweb. Thanks

I'm not entirely certain what you're looking for. Here are some WYSIWYG website developing apps:
Rapidweaver (This one gets my recommendation)
Sandvox
Dreamweaver (more advanced)
By "NOT iWeb" do you mean you don't want to use .Mac? Having your own domain means purchasing a domain name (from someone like Dotster, for example) and then buying server space from a hosting company.
Cheers

I highly recommend you learn to code your own pretty XHTML, and then style it with CSS.
For learning XHTML, see W3Schools Online Web Tutorials
For doing css, either learn yourself at W3schools or CSSEdit2 looks pretty good.

I second this recommendation.
I know a lot of pointy clicky Mac users want a more graphical approach to create web pages more like they would an InDesign document, but the web just doesn't work like that, it is best not to force a round peg into a square hole when this time can be spent being more productive.
Just my two cents...

I've progresses backwards in web design. I started with hand jamming html into text editors ( Taco and Tag are my favorites for html), then moved to Mozilla's N|Vu (for easier table editing). Now I'm using RapidWeaver (for it's CSS). Knowing html helps (along with CSS - try CSSEdit) so I'd start there.
