Ok what i want in my buisness is 6 screens one main screen which can controll all other 6 (only need them to show the sxact same thing) and the main one which can tell them what to see and also perhas run another program.

You need a distribution amplifier. Something that takes one signal and repeats it to multiple outputs. Here's one with 8 VGA outputs. Comprehensive - VP-108

now talking to the boss he feels that he does not need the main computer running diffrent to the rest of the screens. is this now a matter of just splitting the cable running from the mac ro rge scrren and taking a run from each lead to the screen?

Are the screens VGA (CRTs) or DVI (LCDs)?
