Hello. I am still quite new to macs and am in need of some advice about programming under os x.

I am going to be developing a C/C++ program and I just want some advice on what tools I should download to get the job done. Thanks in advance.

Apple has a great developer site and tools available on Apple Developer Connection. XCode is what you're looking for.
