Hi,
I know i maybe asking in the wrong place for this, but i have left questions in other forums and they have gone unanswered...
I am making a website in dreamweaver and was going to use a Spry menu (vertical) down the left hand side of the page. i have used a table to layout the page so the menu is in the left hand cell. It works fine in safari and firefox etc, however, in IE the sub menus do not appear as they should (to the right of the menu), they rearrange themselves to the top left hand side of the site...
i believe this is because the cell they are in is only wide enough to fit the initial menu in (without any sub menus) and when the sub menus appear IE does not recognise the z-index and does not know to display them over the other cells and so puts them at the top left of the page. i have tried widening the cell and this fixes the problem (and is the reasoning for my theory).
I was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this and knew of a workaround as it is really starting to annoy me!!
BACKUP Typing - Home is the site in develpment
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
thanks
