I will begin college classes learning this in the next few months, but I was hoping someone could recommend a website or book so I could be more familiar with it when the classes start.

Book by the creator of C++: Amazon.com: C++ Programming Language, The (3rd Edition): Bjarne Stroustrup: Books. That's what I learned from. There's probably something a little more reader-friendly out there, but I don't know.

And you'll come up with about 5 billion tutorials just by Googling "C++".
