Embed an RSS newsfeed ticker in an email?

Is it possible to have an RSS newsfeed tickertape, like the 'Latest:' across the top of the BBC news site - http://news.bbc.co.uk/ , embedded into an HTML email newsletter? Our sites have got their news stories as an RSS feed, and would like to place this into a weekly email. I have tried using rsspump.com to create the ticker tape from the feed address, it works on a static website, but not on a test email.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.
