Hi. This post involves two questions:

1) When right-clicking, how can I add my own actions to the gray menu that pops up?
I want to add a new "action", Bookmark this, that runs a Python program I have created to bookmark websites to delicious.com

2) In conjunction with question number one, how can I grab the url of the current page I'm viewing in Safari or Firefox and send the url to the program I have created?

I'm not looking for an all encompassing answer, but some help pointing me in the right direction would be great. Furthermore, if you recommend AppleScript or some other API, etc. it'd be even better if you advise what exactly to focus on.

Apple has some sample code for this. To get the current page from Safari, you'll need to use some AppleScript-type functionality — either actually AppleScript or the Scripting Bridge.
