How to override Nscombobox to customize its look

I want to do following things with combobox,

1. Its textfield should be transparent or able to show my intended image.
2. The button should be able to show the image what I want to show.
3. The drop down list also should be able to show my intended image.

Kindly help me with any pointers for the above queries.
