Hello,
I'm usually using the code below to insert with W3C standards SWF files within Html pages: 

Code:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="file.swf"  width="695" height="146">
<param name="movie" value="file.swf" />
 <param name="quality" value="high" />
 </object>
I'm looking for an additional line of code that could enables me to insert a JPG file if users have not installed Flash on their computers.

Any idea ?

Sounds like you're looking for a flash detector script.
