Is there a way to make my second ide (non automount) disk go to sleep with an Applescript? I tried Sleeper but there are too many issues.

Please help.

Most kind regards,

Rob

Hi Rob,

If you haven't already done so, you could try using a stand-alone scripting addition. A comprehensive collection can be found at the Osaxen Library (formerly hosted by ScriptWeb, but now hosted by MacScripter.net), where you could search for such strings as 'sleep' or 'power'. In addition, you could try posting your question to the MACSCRPT mailing list (via Dartmouth's MACSCRPT hub), or on MacScripter.net's BBS/forum; or, try contacting the makers of Sleeper directly, viz., St. Clair Software.

However, if there are no suitable stand-alone OSAXen available -- and no help is forthcoming from the various AppleScript mailing-lists or forums, or from St. Clair Software itself -- then perhaps you could describe the specific issues you're encountering with Sleeper's OSAX, and then I or someone else could try to provide further assistance.

Regards,

--Paul
