On my newest ADC Student Mailing the letter says "New Student Member Benefits" and one of the things it lists is the "Student Hardware Discount Program." I looked for some mention of it on the ADC Student website but couldn't find anything. Is the program still going on? Is there a link to it?

Hey,
Looks like we are on the same boat as well, I read over the Feb. edition newsletter. I guess they are working on it now for the ADC student hardware discount. Since my iMac Rev.A just died after upgrading to MacOS 9.1, so I have to buy another Mac, but the those educational price IS still high. I checked out the ADC price list for those Select or higher members, they got a 20% discount off the regular AppleStore price. Meanwhile, the Apple Educational Store cut just 6% off. In this case: PBG4/400: $2,599(regular), $2,443(EducationalStore), $2,079(ADC Select or higher member). Get the point.
I should call the 1-800-MY-APPLE next week and see whether I can take the advantage of the ADC price of the PowerBook G4.
One thing I hate about the AppleStore is they charged tax on every states, since I am living in the Washington State and I don't think they should charge me any taxes. Does anyone know other third-party store that can accept Edu./ADC members order?

Student ADC members are allowed a single discounted hardware purchase.
I personally decided to take advantage of this great bonus and ordered a tricked out TiPB. Of course, now I'm waiting just like everybody else.

Hi,
YEAH! Finally the student ADC membership can get a 'taste' of the hardware discount program like the other 'paid' members do with just US$99/yr. I also ordered the low-end TiBook too, but I did not want to wait, so I go for the unBTO-option. I also ordered the AirPort Base Station and AirPort card seperatly too. One thing I dislike was the complex ordering process.
1-800-GO-APPLE.
BTW, that Apple guy said on the phone, order one from the University's Bookstore is about the same shipping time as ordering thru this "ADC" method...BUT I saved alot.

Hey,
Most Apple products are 20% off regular price, unless stated i.e. 15% off iMac models and no discount on the Cinema Display.

WHAT?!?
I read that and thought it was just the edu discount. 20% .. ow man, I already ordered a Ti from Outpost. If I cancled it now it would take Apple Store weeks to get it to me.
Oh well, just more reason to buy a G4 tower later in the year.
