Hello folks,

I really need your help fast. I have got the following problem. Today I talked with a Professor of mine and he was really amazed of the thought to offer his lectures in a LiveStream (via QT or so). Now he wants me to tell him how he can realize this idea. And even worse, he wants to offer his lectures as downloads. How do LiveStreams work and what hard- and software does my Professor need? I would be very grateful for any fast answer.

All the best, Benjamin

Wait for another opinion but I believe that you can do this through Adobe Pagemill

Huhu,

I thought I'd need a QT Streaming Server in order to broadcast a live stream via RTP.

...and I've got another idea. Would it be possible - and even more important - to offer the lecture itself as a LiveStream via a QT streaming server as a RTP stream and then offer the lecture afterwards as a .mp3 HTTP stream for download?

All the best, Benjamin

Yes, you do need QT to make this work! The .mp3 thing would work too. I think that you just need to tell your Professor that while you know remotely how to streamline, trying it in the classroom is just a job that you don't feel qualified to attempt! Look for an online manual, they are everywhere! Sorry if none of this helps, next time try not to get yourself in such a mess! Truth be told, I'm no expert either when it comes to streamlining! Good luck!

Any help would be helpful!
