How hard would it be to write a script that could take a folder dropped on it and convert the content to AIFF? If I want to burn a CD using a folder of MP3s (toast 4 seems to have prtoblems with this for me, and doesn't real all the formats quicktime does, oh, and OF COURSE I have the rights to all my music!)

Any advice or help?

I have the same problem and i use soundjam to convert my MP3's to AIFF's.
But if you were going to make a Sciprt to do it, it would be fairly easy
just go with a choose folder, then list that folder and that way you can get an alias of each item in the folder, then find an app that can scriptable convert mp3 to aiff, and have it convert each item in the list. No Prob.

I made a general script for exporting files using Quicktime Player. It handles mp3 -> aif without any trouble.

You have to run the export once manually to set up all the parameters (it uses 'most recent settings'), after that, you just drop a load of files on the script, set a prefix to be added to the filename, choose the file type you are exporting to and then just wait for it to finish.
