Anyone know of a *really good* webmail application written in PHP (or even perl for that matter) that gets as close to hotmail as you could get?

I have been looking at NeoMail http://neomail.sourceforge.net/ . The only problem that I have found with NeoMail was that it could only check email locally, meaning that NeoMail needed to live on your email server. I have looked at SquirrelMail and others, but they just do not compare to the quality and the look and feel that NeoMail has...

Anyone know of an IMAP aware NeoMail clone?
