Hello World.

I'm a DBA/Web App Developer working on the UCSB campus. We're about to do a database upgrade and my boss is pushing for "Openbase". Prior to my employment here I knew nothing about this relational database server. Looking at it now it seems to have promise. It has all the major features one would want (like transactional support...) and is designed very specifically for OSX.

I had a free trial for 30 days and it seemed ok. It's very gui-fied. But I can't find any information about it other than what their website says about it and I don't find that to be a good sign. I was wondering if any of you OSX types have played with it or are running it currently, and if so, do you have anything good or bad to say about it?

Thanks in advance. I promise I'll answer questions from you if you help me out.

Ciao, developer amigos!

when you look this good, you don't have to know anything
