I've an odd cosmetic problem with applets, they display a padlock icon in a rectangle to the lower right which changes on subsequent desktop rebuilds (all extns off but file exchange) rarely displaying correctly. Sometimes the correct diamond mask obscures part of the padlock rectangle.
I've tried removing all aplts from a partition and rebuilding the desktop and looking at resources but can find no trace of this rogue icon.
Any clues would be much appreciated

I located the perp, a run only script with a custom creator and a rather obvious name in hindsight.
