going backward in HTML

	I want to put a website into a directory, and then have it redirect back out..... sorta like: have a site that is in one directory,and don't know the server, but want to link up a directory the website is in "folder/direc/asdfasdf/html" and i want to be able to go here: "folder?asdfasdf.html" can I, without knowing the host (apple.com,,geocities.com), go up? or do i have to have them all in the same directory. ------------------ CLOWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
