I've been working on a site for several months now, mostly the design and graphics and creating some content. Now that I'm trying to actually program the pages, I'm doing the ol' teeth grind. Trying to set up frames is causing a lot of headaches. Would anyone enjoy helping me knock one page out? I can use it as a template to write the others. I'll send you a jpg of the page, if you're interested, and we can talk about shtuff and the things then.

Thanks

that'd be sweet. if you give me an email address (or just email me), i'll send you a jpg of the page design (<80k) and explain what i'm trying to do. then you'll know what i'm trying to do and can decide if you're still interested. thanks

Frames are anoying...

some month ago I tried to make some little pages for a friend who wanted to see several types of sites... I made one or two with frames (no resize, no scrolling, no margins)
http://eigip.free.fr/essais.html
look the first and second... if it's what you want to do, look at the source of the frameset.

You can send me the jpg of what you want to do at noliv@mac.com if it's not too big (not more than 800 KB) but I won't help before one week or two because I'm busy these days...

it's kinda like that. because of the layout, they'll need more like 5 frames. it's more like designiskinky.net but with a locked window size. i'll be happy to send you the jpgs (~130k total) anyway. time is not of the essence.

Would this work?
http://egg.randomchicken.com/pennock/

It did for me in IE5, but I have not tried it in other browsers...

i only have ie5 myself, but yeah, it worked great! the text frame had a blank scroll bar at the bottom, which would be nice to get rid of. how easy would it be to put an image on the /pennock/ page from which the pop-up window appears? follow this with other 'how'd you do dat?' questions. multitudinous thanks!

Adding an image to the first page would not be a problem... You can actually have the parent window close down as well, so that you would only have the main window. That really pisses me off when another site does that to me, so I would not recommend doing that...

have a good one...

yeah, i'd rather not close the parent window. could you email the html and info? guess there's no specific need to keep this in the forums if it's just you and me.. muchly appreciated
