I spent hours getting my template for my pages set up in dreamweaver and fireworks. I got it looking beautiful, an inverted L shape with a nice curve in the right angle, drop shadows and buttons, a place for my title and php code. Everything was set and I inserted the fireworks html into the dw template. I got it all looking right in IE, Omniweb, and netscape on my computer. When I went to check it on a PC, the slices were aligned slightly incorrectly! I was pissed. Most of the slices were in the right place, but the top of the inverted L, where there was a slice for the title was a little off. Now, my question is, what do I believe? IE 5 for windows or my 3 browsers? I'd put a link up so you can see what I mean, but it's not on my webserver just yet (it's currently being served off my powerbook when I'm in my office...gotta love OS X). I'm pretty sure my html and php are right, but I'm not denying that as a possibility. Any tips for a burgeoning web designer? TIA.

Try the image in either Opera and iCab because they conform to the HTML 4.0 standards. I know that iCab does although it doesnt fully support CSS, but Opera suppors CSS.

Some links:

Opera: www.opera.com
iCab: www.icab.de

mindwaves, thanks for the reply. I think I got it mostly working by redoing some of the slices. It's still a little off but I'll deal with it for now. I would use opera to check it, but it doesn't work in classic and I need CSS support so iCab won't work. Even Omniweb doesn't render my layers right. Jeez, maybe I'm using too much fancy stuff? Maybe you could check it for me in your browser? If you're interested, the link is: http://spacedog.dhs.org/PHP_Site/index.php .

The login page has not been redone so excuse that mess for now. You can log in using help/help. TIA.

Well, it's sorta changed. The IP that DHS.org has is my powerbook's IP when I'm in the office. My site is now hosted on my new G4 Cube The address is www.psyresearch.com . It's still a work in progress but I've gotten most of the rendering kinks worked out. Thanks for your help.
