I'm so proud of myself I don't know how to program, yet I was able to write a simple Flashcard AppleScript so that I could practice my vocab words for the GRE. This stuff is dope!

Good job I remember my old recording days :shudder: . But now it is nice because I can basically do whatever I want with it. A good board for applescript info is http://bbs.applescript.net/cgi-bin/webbbs_config.pl
BTW, can we see how you achieved your script? Perhaps we could help you clean up any confusing parts?

Hey, you offset my 20 day reign at the top of this forum!
Anyway, congratulations on your first script! I remember way back when that I started off with AppleScript as my first programming language. It is quite powerful, despite its simplicity.
When you master AppleScript, or are just looking for a bigger challenge, you should take a look at REALbasic. It is a fully featured programming language that can create apps not only for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, but Windoze as well. And it is fairly easy to learn as well.
Well, good luck on your AppleScript journey!
[edit: spelling. I think I might needd your script!]

Thanks for the kind words guys I'll post my script here as soon as I have a minute. In the meantime I've been studying for the GREs.

Moving this thread to the OS X Developer Forum because the Developer forum has been axed due to inactivity. Please post all future developer-related questions in either OS X Developer or Web Developer.
